The short version
Every calculator works without an account and without sending your inputs anywhere. We store only what you choose to save or share, and you can delete it at any time.
Stored in your browser only
- History — your recent calculations, kept in this browser's localStorage. Clear it on the History page.
- Library — calculations you press “Save” on. Without an account they never leave your browser.
- Theme — your light/dark choice.
If you create an account
Signing in with Google or X gives us your name, email address (Google) or @handle (X) and profile photo. We keep:
- your account record: that profile data, your handle, display name, bio and whether your profile is public;
- your synced library (the saved calculations);
- the share pages you create (title, note and calculator inputs). Public share pages are listed on your public profile; “link only” ones are visible to anyone with the link.
We never get your Google or X password, never post anything for you, and never sell or share your data. Sign-in uses a signed cookie that lasts 30 days.
The AI form-filler
When you use “describe it”, your text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to turn it into calculator inputs. We don't store your prompts or the answers; we only count how many answers each account (or, where accounts are off, a salted hash of the IP address) used today, and those counters expire after two days.
Hosting and logs
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver pages and stop abuse; we keep short-lived error logs to fix bugs.
Deleting your data
Delete your account from your profile page: your account record, synced library and all share pages are removed immediately. Clear browser data to remove history and the local library. Questions: support@mccalc.wiki.
